Sunday started with everyone present impeccably observing a minutes silence for remembrance day. We only had 12 players available for the fixture compared to the 22 available to Wolverhampton but the players were determined not to let this affect their performance.
Newcastle started slowly, which needs to be addressed, and wolverhampton soon went into an early lead. However once we settled down a drive up the middle gave captain for the day Jon a try and herbie followed that with a superb solo effort. Newcastle remained on top for the rest of the half and were unlucky not to score more. Wolverhampton came back into the game in the second half as our boys tired but scoring was even thanks to the best defensive performance this season. Further newcastle tries were scored by Kian 2. Stefan and Connor meaning the final score was 6 tries each.
I think all spectators who had made the long trip would agree it was a great performance full of desire and all those involved should be proud.
